Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC)’s awareness drive to check cattle menace on the roads has failed to yield the desired results yet again. Instead of keeping the cows in their respective cattle sheds, they’re left open to roam freely on the roads, obstructing traffic, creating congestion and posing a threat to commuters, pedestrians and the cows themselves.

Criticising the callous approach of the civic body, Shashank Gattewar from the city posted pictures of several cows lying on the roads at Futala Lake on his social media account.

However all our calls to Nagpur Mayor Nanda Jichkar and Deputy Mayor at NMC Deepraj Pardikar went unanswered.
