CBI arrests ADG of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in Rs 25 lakh bribery case

The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) on Wednesday arrested Chandra Shekhar, the Additional Director General (ADG) of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, along with a middleman in connection with a Rs 25 lakh bribery case.

As per reports, Shekhar, who’s the DRI’s ADG in Ludhiana, was under CBI’s radar after a bribery complaint was received by it. The middleman was arrested as he was accepting the bribe on behalf of Shekhar.

A CBI officer informed that Shekhar was placed under house arrest after searches were carried out at multiple locations in Delhi, Noida and Ludhiana linked to Shekhar and the middleman. The CBI also informed that a third person has also been arrested in the case.
