Nagpur division of Central Railway has teamed up with OYO (Oravel Stays Private Limited) to help people visiting the city to book hotel rooms easily.
As part of the agreement, OYO will be putting up a ‘Tourist Assistance Booth’ at Nagpur Railway Station. OYO representatives will be available at the booth 24×7 to help visitors book hotel rooms.
The scheme is designed by the Railway Board under its New, Innovative Non Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (NINFRIS) in collaboration with national transporters and renowned hotels.
While the agreement will help OYO to expand its reach and business in the orange city, it will help Nagpur division of Central Railway to earn Rs 5 lakh annually.
As per a report, the scheme is in the final stages and Somesh Kumar, Divisional Manager of Central Railways and Krishnath Patil, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager are currently working on the project.
