Amid much speculation, there were reports doing rounds of BJP allotting ticket for Kamptee constituency to senior BJP leader and energy minister of Maharashtra and sitting MLA from Kamptee Chandrashekhar Bawankule’s wife Jyoti for the state assembly elections due on October 21. Confirming the same, Bawankule’s daughter Payal told Nation Next that her mother has filed the nomination papers from Kamptee. Jyoti filed nomination papers today morning for the same but as per updates reports, the party hasn’t approved Jyoti’s candidature from Kamptee; Anil Nidan’s name seems to have been approved instead.
