Chennai-Nizamuddin Express halted at Nagpur station for inspection after a bomb threat

     The 12611 Chennai-Nizamuddin Express was halted at Nagpur Railway Station for over an hour on Saturday night after police received information of a bomb being planted in the train.

    Railway police along with Railway Protection Force personnel and sniffer dogs carried out a thorough inspection of the train at Nagpur station. The train arrived Nagpur station at 8:45pm and was allowed to depart only at 10pm after due checking.

    As per PTI, a railway official said, “Someone alerted Pune railway police about a bomb threat and the message was passed to Nagpur police, after which a check was conducted. The information turned out to be false.”

    It was found out that four men from Jhansi on board were carrying 10 kilograms of urea and were let off only after they gave satisfactory replies to the cops.
