Citizens to get call from ‘1921’ for COVID-19 survey by Government

The Central Government has announced that it will be conducting a telephonic COVID-19 survey and that citizens will be called for the same. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) tweeted on April 21, that citizens will receive a call on their mobile phones by NIC and number 1921.

MoHFW tweeted. “People are informed that it is a genuine survey and are requested to participate in good measure to enable proper feedback of the prevalence and distribution of COVID-19 symptoms.”

The ministry has also warned citizens to be aware of any other calls by frauds and pranksters. The calls from any other number for such similar survey wouldn’t be genuine and MoHFW warned people not to share their personal information to such callers. Only calls from 1921 should be considered authentic survey related calls, MoHFW added.
