Class XI student who scored 95% in SSC hangs himself for scoring low marks in an exam

A 17-year-old Class XI computer science student, who had scored 95% in SSC, ended his life on Saturday at his rented house in Nagpur’s Ramdaspeth area after scoring low marks in an exam. The boy, who has been identified as Ankit Arvind Asutkar, was a native of Chandrapur distrcit.

The unfortunate incident came to fore when Ankit’s family members tried calling him several times but couldn’t contact him. The family members then contacted Ankit’s friends to get information about him. A friend of Ankit then reached his house and was stunned to see him hanging to a ceiling fan. Ankit’s mentioned the reason behind the extreme step in a suicide note.

On the basis of a complaint by Ankit’s uncle Vilas Narayanrao Hazare (52), Bajaj Nagar Police have registered a case of accidental death.
