Nagpur will become a smart city by 2020, assures CM Devendra Fadnavis

During the inauguration of ‘Mahacharcha on Nagpur Vision 2020,’ organised by Lokmat, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis assured Nagpurians of making Nagpur a smart city. Fadnavis, during his speech, focused on the need of good public transport and roads in Nagpur. Urgent need of effective segregation of waste through solid and liquid waste management, rejuvenation of Nag river (that got polluted due to poor sewage treatment) were the main takeaways of Fadnavis’ speech. After the CM’s speech, Nagpur Mayor Pravin Datke spoke about Nagpur prospects. “Nagpur, the land of opportunity, has the capacity of being the best city in India. After GST comes into being, nobody can stop the development of Nagpur,” said Datke.

Commenting on the present Nagpur scenario, Pravin Datke assured Nagpurians of 24*7 water supply, better parking facilities and improved roads. He even said that maximum trees would be planted in the city to make Nagpur greener and better.

The event was concluded by the speech of Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari.
