A 23-year-old man named Anup Ojha, who had returned from Rajasthan and was quarantined in Buxar, Bihar left people around him speechless, thanks to his insatiable appetite. Block Development Officer (BDO) AK Singh told Deccan Herald, “We were informed that a Bihar delicacy ‘litti’ (a dough ball made of wheat flour and stuffed with roasted chickpea) was prepared for the migrants staying in the quarantine centre, Ojha ate 85 littis that day. The cook, who prepares roti, is now tired of preparing so many chapatis for one particular individual. So, we decided to get a first-hand account of this person and his diet.”

Bihar authorities then visited the quarantine centre in Buxar to check the same. It was learnt that Ojha had consumed 40 chapatis for breakfast, around 10 plates of rice for lunch in one day.

However, officials told the manager at the quarantine facility that Ojha’s quarantine period was about to end and the cook was instructed neither Ojha should be food deprived nor should he be eating less; he should eat whatever he wants.
