Cops nab three people for running a sex racket through social media at Khare Town

The social security wing of the Nagpur Crime Branch, on Thursday, arrested a young couple and their friend for running a sex racket through social media at a rented house in Khare Town, Dharampeth, Nagpur.

While the accused couple – Saurabh Rajendra Moon (24) and Shweta Saurabh Jain (22) – basically hails from Waraseoni (Balaghat District), their friend Kevin John Chakku (29), hails from Kerela. The accused using the alias ‘Rahul’ and ‘Arjun’ on social media would lure young girls in the flesh trade promising them a lot of money. Once, the girls agreed, they were called to the rented house in Dharampeth, wherein they got involved in prostitution.

The police got the tip about the sex racket through social media, after which, following directives from DCP Shweta Khedkar (EOW), it raided the house of the couple and rescued a girl. Sitabuldi Police has registered a case against the three accused under section 370 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3,4,5,7 of the Immortal Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
