Cops seize heroin worth Rs 38.88 lakh from drug peddler in Nagpur

    The anti-narcotics cell of the Nagpur Crime Branch, on Saturday, arrested a drug peddler and seized heroin worth Rs 38.88 lakh from his house in Imamwada.

    The anti-narcotics cell of the Nagpur Crime Branch, on Saturday, arrested a drug peddler and seized heroin worth Rs 38.88 lakh from his house in Imamwada. The drug peddler has been identified as Ashok Jagdishprasad Gupta (40).

    On Saturday, at around 5 pm, the cops got a tip-off that Gupta is hiding huge quantity of heroin at his house and selling it from there. Acting on the tip-off, the cops raided the house and seized 972 grams of cocaine and arrested Gupta.

    An offense has been registered against Ashok Gupta at Imamwada Police Station and he has been booked under sections 21(k) and 22 of the Narcotic, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
