COVID-19: Nagpur Traffic Police confiscate 592 vehicles during lockdown

Ever since the 21-day lockdown announced by PM Narendra Modi came in force from March 24, Nagpur Traffic Police has confiscated 592 vehicles of citizens, who violated the lockdown by roaming around the city without any necessary work. The information was shared by Vikram Sali, DCP, Traffic, Nagpur Police.

Sali said, “Most of the citizens are co-operating with us to help us implement the lockdown efficiently but there are some citizens who still roam around the city without any reason. Vehicles of such citizens will be confiscated by us. Also, we will also consider suspending their driving licenses.”

Sali further added, “You may escape us at times but you are putting your lives at risk by stepping out of your homes. I urge you to stay at home.”

The 21-day lockdown in the entire country was announced by PM Modi to curb the spread of coronavirus, which has claimed more than 47,000 lives till date.
