Crime Patrol actor Shafique Ansari passes away due to cancer

Actor Shafique Ansari, who featured in many episodes of the famous show Crime Patrol, passed away at the age of 52 on May 10 due to thoracic cancer.

Actor Shafique Ansari, who featured in many episodes of the famous show Crime Patrol, passed away at the age of 52 on May 10 due to thoracic cancer. Ansari had been battling cancer for over two years and was also diagnosed with a lung infection a few months ago.

Shafique’s wife Gauhar Ansari told a news portal that the actor felt well throughout the day but in the evening around 5:30 pm his health suddenly deteriorated and he passed away. She added that Ansari was undergoing Ayurvedic treatment following which, his condition had drastically improved, however he could not make it through.

The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) tweeted, “#CINTAA expresses its deepest condolence on the demise of Mr. Ansari Shafique (Member since : June 2008).”

Apart from being an actor, Shafique had also worked as an assistant director and writer. He was one of the screenwriters for the 2003 film ‘Baghban,’ which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.
