Though the quantum of the punishment is yet to be announced, the Punjab police had arrested the Mehndi brothers few hours back, who were later released on bail.

The brothers, against whom almost 35 charges were leveled for charging outrageous amount, had taken two troupes in 1998 and 1999 and that’s when they illegal migrated 10 persons to the USA. Mehndi has also been accused of illegally ‘dropping off’ three girls in San Francisco and three boys in New Jersey in USA.
