Speaker Nana Patole forced to adjourn House after BJP, Shiv Sena MLA indulge in scuffle.
On the second day of Maharashtra Legislature in Nagpur, BJP MLAs walked in the Assembly with flex boards carrying an old news published in Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, demanding Rs 25,000 per hectare aid for farmers hit by untimely rains. BJP shouted slogans, seeking implementation of Shiv Sena’s previous demand.
Soon a BJP MLA and Shiv Sena MLA indulged in a scuffle and charged at each other. Such was the intensity that Speaker Nana Patole was forced to adjourn the session for 30 minutes.
Patole appealed to the BJP members to return to their seats and allow the House to continue with its proceedings. He even said that nobody had the right to get violent inside the House and nothing of this sort would be tolerated.
