Decomposed body of COVID-19 suspect NMC worker found lying at his home for 5 days in Nagpur

The decomposed body of a 44-year-old Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) worker Vijay Ramesh Ingale was found lying at his residence – Plot number 517, Corporation Colony, New Subhedar Layout for five days. The body was brought to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 pm.

The house of the 45-year-old, where he used to stay alone, was locked since five days. The situation came to light when his neighbours started complaining of a foul smell. Today at 8:30 am, when NMC workers visited his house, they found his decomposed body lying.

It has been said that two of the deceased’s acquaintances, who had accompanied the policemen, claimed that the former was suffering from fever and cough. However, his body has been sent for further examination.
