As per police, a 16-year-old girl, studying at Dehradun boarding school, was allegedly gang-raped by four seniors (aged 17) last month on August 14. She further stated that school officials also took the rape survivor to a nursing home for an abortion.
However, apart from the four accused, the boarding school’s director, principal, administration officer, his wife and hostel’s caretaker were also arrested for alleged destruction of evidence. The horrific incident came to light after Nivedita Kureti Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) was tipped-off about the alleged raped and hence ordered an investigation on the same. Rathod further said the arrested school officials were aware of the entire incident.
