Delhi BJP Chief and MP Manoj Tiwari was detained by Delhi Police on Monday while he was protesting against Kejriwal government at Rajghat.

Delhi BJP Chief and MP Manoj Tiwari was detained by Delhi Police on Monday while he was protesting along with his supporters against Kejriwal government at Rajghat. Tiwari was detained as public protests are banned as per the rules laid down by central and state government.

Tiwari was protesting against lack of unpreparedness of Kejriwal government concerning COVID-19 crisis and against the exorbitant prices charged at private hospitals in the capital.

Before being taken away by the police, Tiwari said, “There should be a proper bed arrangements for the people of Delhi. Several private hospitals in Delhi do not admit a patient unless a deposit of Rs five lakh is made.” Speakign about Kejriwal’s demand of Rs 5,000 crore from the central government, Tiwari said, “Delhi government has money to pay for advertisements but has and no money to pay salaries to employees.” On the issue of sealing the border, Tiwari said Delhi government just talks big and does not implement anything.
