Delhi: Civil Aviation Ministry building sealed after employee tests positive for COVID-19

A building, which has offices of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, was sealed on Wednesday as per protocol after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. The building is situated at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan at Jor Bagh in Delhi.

The building will remain closed for three days, during which the building will be sanitized. Furthermore, all other employees who came in contact with the COVID-19 positive employee have been asked to go into self-isolation as a precaution.

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted, “We stand by our colleague who has tested positive for COVID-19 and have extended all possible medical help and support. Those in contact have also been asked to follow the laid down procedures. I wish him strength and speedy recovery.”

A statement released by Civil Aviation Ministry mentions that, Government of Delhi has been informed about the matter and steps are being taken for contact tracing and risk profiling.
