A 22-year-old BSc graduate battling depression committed suicide on Sunday by hanging himself at his house in Chakrapani Nagar, Nagpur. The boy, Gaurav Govindrao Mohite, before ending his life sent his selfie, with a scarf tied to the ceiling fan in the background, to his friends.

As per some media reports, Mohite was depressed since the last few months because of a financial crisis his family was facing. Mohite’s family was reportedly in heavy debt and the family had even sold their house to repay the debt. On Sunday, Mohite, who was the secretary of a Ganpati Mandal near his house, met his friends near the Ganpati pandal. He then left for his house. After reaching home, he sent the selfie to his friends and then hanged himself.
