Deputy CM Manish Sisodia rushed to hospital after sixth day of indefinite fast

    Deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, after his sixth day of indefinite fasting, was rushed to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Naraya Hospital in Delhi today after his ketone level reached 7.4. Sisodia’s ketone level on Sunday, June 17, was reported to be 6.4.

    Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party’s official account on tweeted, “Dy. CM ‪@msisodia shifted to hospital as his Ketone level reaches 7.4.”

    A day earlier Health Minister Satyendar Jain was admitted after his sugar levels dipped. Kejriwal had then tweeted, “Satyender Jain shifted to hospital due to his deteriorating health (sic).”

    Kejriwal, along with Satyender Jain, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Labour Minister Gopal Rai, have been protesting inside Raj Niwas since June 11 demanding that Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal should intervene and end the ‘illegal strike by government officers.’
