Documentary on Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi wins top award at Sundance Festival

‘Kailash,’ an American documentary based on the life of Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi won the US Documentary Grand Jury Award at the Sundance Festival held in Los Angeles. The news was shared by Satyarthi on Twitter as he dedicated the documentary to his colleagues, who worked with him in the campaign to end child slavery.

The documentary has been directed by Derek Donnen and is produced by Davis Guggenheim and Sarah Anthony, and co-produced by Purnima Raghunath. The documentary chronicles Satyarthi’s life journey and his efforts to eliminate child trafficking and child labour. Satyarthi won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
