Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai deciphers age-old wisdom of Chanakya at SGR Knowledge Series in Nagpur

    Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai, was in Nagpur to speak about the age-old wisdom of Chanakya at a session by SGR Knowledge Foundation at Chitnavis Centre, Nagpur.

    Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai, who has authored books like Corporate Chanakya  and Chanakya’s 7 secrets of Leadership, was recently in Nagpur to speak about the age-old wisdom of Chanakya at the session Chanakya in Daily Life organised under its knowledge Series by SGR Knowledge Foundation at Chitnavis Centre, Nagpur. Dr Pillai, who is the director of Chanakya Institute of Public Leadership (CPIL), during the session, spoke about the teachings of Chankaya, which if implemented by a person in his daily life, can lead to success.

    Speaking about different teachings of Chanakya, Dr Pillai explained how Chandragupta Maurya, in spite of being a son a servant (daasi), was made king by Chanakya, who spotted the leadership qualities in him. Dr Pillai, on these lines, urged that the talented should always be given opportunity irrespective of their caste or religion. Dr Pillai, speaking about the knowledge possessed by rishis in ancient times, stressed upon the need of exploring the age-old wisdom and knowledge.

    Describing Chanakya who is also referred to as Kautilya or Vishnugupta, Dr Pillai, told the gathering that Chanakya was a multi-dimensional man, who possessed a vision and knowledge of various fields. He informed that it’s was Chankaya’s Arthashastra, which can be called as the first constitution of the nation. Dr Pillai also told that Chanakya’s sutras covering hundreds of fields should be read and understood. He informed that these sutras are followed by many world leaders in their daily lives.

    Speaking about Chankaya’s principles on time management, Dr Pillai informed that Chankaya would divide 24 hours into sessions of 90 minutes each for devoting time for meeting people, important discussions, to meet advisors, plan things for the treasury and so on. Dr Pillai informed that Chanakya stressed upon following the schedule but also stressed upon flexibility.

    The session by Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai was attended by students, entrepreneurs, businessmen and several others and received a great response from everyone.
