Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday ruled out any possibility of getting involved in Maharashtra politics asserting that Devendra Fadnavis will be the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Gadkari’s meeting with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at RSS headquarters in Nagpur fueled speculations about Gadkari being the potential CM candidate to pacify the Shiv Sena to come to terms with BJP for the formation fo government in Maharashtra.
Speaking about the ongoing power tussle between the BJP and the Shiv Sena to form the government in Maharashtra, Gadkari said, “There will be a decision soon. The government in Maharashtra should be formed under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis Ji.” Gadkari added, “Devendra Fadnavis is the choice and he should lead the government. The BJP won 105 seats so the Chief Minister should be from the BJP.”
