The top floor of a high-rise in Mumbai’s Prabhadevi area where Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone resides, caught massive fire on Wednesday afternoon. However, as per reports, no casualty has taken place. Mumbai Police informed that firefighters have reached the spot to douse the fire. The Mumbai Police tweeted, “Our staff & Fire Brigade is on the spot for assistance. They are trying their best to douse the fire and provide necessary help to people there..”
According to sources, the fire broke out on the B Wing’s 32nd and 33rd floor of Beumonde Tower. Around 90-95 people have been rescued safely and six fire engines, five jumbo tankers, one hydraulic platform and ambulance were rushed to the spot. Padukone, who is among the residents of the high-rise on 26th floor, resides in the same wing that caught fire.
