In a horrific incident, a part of the foot-over bridge outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station in South Mumbai collapsed on Thursday evening. While three are reportedly dead, at least 34 are said to be injured apart from several others who are trapped.
However, the injured people are being shifted to nearby hospitals. Senior officers, fire personnel and a team of the National Disaster Response Force have reached the spot.
“Foot over bridge connecting CST platform 1 north end with B T Lane near Times of India building has collapsed,” the Mumbai Police tweeted.
