Former PM Dr Manmohan Singh tests COVID-19 negative; gets discharged from AIIMS

Former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh got discharged from AIIMS Hospital on Tuesday. Singh also tested negative for COVID-19.

Former Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh got discharged from AIIMS Hospital on Tuesday. He also tested negative for Coronavirus. The senior Congress leader was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS after complaining about chest problem on Sunday evening at 8:45 pm. The former PM, who was facing breathlessness and uneasiness, was under observation at cardio-thoracic ward.

Known to be diabetic and a heart patient, Singh had undergone two bypass surgeries – one in 1990 in UK (followed by an angioplasty in 2004) and another in 2009.
