Four-month-old boy dies after developing breathing problems on an Indigo flight

In an unfortunate incident, a four-month-old boy died at Hyderabad airport after the infant developed breathing problems on an Indigo flight on Tuesday. The infant was travelling with his parents from Bengaluru to Patna on Indigo flight 6E 897.

As per a statement released by Indigo, after the infant developed breathing problems, the flight was diverted to Hyderabad and flight crew requested for an ambulance at the airport. The flight arrived at Hyderabad airport on 7.30 am and the boy was immediately rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, the boy was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Scroll quoted a source at the hospital saying, “The baby was brought to the emergency room of the Apollo clinic at the airport at 7.45 am. On examination, doctors confirmed that he was brought dead. While the actual cause of his death is not known, doctors noticed a slight bleeding from his nose.”
