Residents of Maskasath and Bangali Panja slums area in Nagpur were left in a state of shock on Sunday as a rivalry between two gangs led to firing of several rounds and destruction of multiple vehicles.

As per reports, the carnage was led by dreaded gangster Waseem Cheera and his gang wielding guns and swords. The action by Cheera and his gang is said to be a retaliation of an attack earlier in the day on the gang’s close aides Mohsin Ahmed and Arif by another gang members Awesh Memon, Faiyaaz and others.

Reportedly, Cheera along with Waseem Dosa, Shaheed Assu, Sanu, Mohsin’s cousin Shaikh Danish and around 20 others entered the area and started ransacking vehicles. Cheera is said to have fired three shots. The entire carnage was recorded in CCTV cameras installed at houses in the area.

Tehsil police have registered offences against both the gangs and have arrested Sanu and Faiyaaz. Cheera, who already has multiple offences against him including murder, is absconding.
