Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who’s being treated for his advanced pancreatic cancer, was once again admitted to a private hospital in Goa after he developed fever. Parrikar was earlier this week admitted to the same hospital in Candolim, North Goa, post his return from the US on 6 September.
However, refusing to divulge details about Parrikar’s treatment, Micheal Lobo, Deputy Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, said, “He has been admitted to the clinic for treatment.” He met the CM at the hospital and said that he was doing fine.
Parrikar has been resting at his private residence near Panaji, ever since his third return from the US in six months. The senior leader isn’t attending the traditional Ganesh Chaturthi puja at his ancestral home in the village of Parra in North Goa, which he had been attending for decades now. Parrikar has also not resumed office since his return from the US.
