Groom booked by police after 1000 people violate lockdown by attending his wedding in MP

A 24-year-year man was booked by the police after over a 1,000 people defied lockdown norms by attending his wedding at Balisa village of Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The man Kanu Chouhan, who is a revenue officer, got married on May 25.

As per reports, a video was filmed by one of the passer-by on his mobile phone. The passer-by later informed the police. It was observed that none of the attendees at the wedding wore masks and they were seen dancing defying all social distancing guidelines amid coronavirus lockdown.

A case has been registered against Chouhan under section 188 of the IPC. No arrests have been made so far.
