High alert in Gujarat after Intelligence Bureau confirms Afghanistan terrorists’ presence in Madhya Pradesh

After Delhi was put on a high alert post the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the state of Gujarat has been put on high alert after Intelligence Bureau confirmed the presence of Afghanistan terrorists in Madhya Pradesh today. As a result, the international borders of Gujarat have been sealed.

As per a report in Zee News, the state police and State Reserve Police (SRP), armed with weapons, are carrying out intensive checking of vehicles at Khangela checkpost, which lies on the border of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The checking is also going on along the border areas of Jhabua district and Gujarat border.

Gujarat DGP issued the high alert after receiving inputs from the IB regarding the presence of Afghanistan terrorists. The Gujarat Police even released a sketch of the suspected terrorist who is said to be a resident of Kunar in Afghanistan.
