‘Holiday’ actor Freddy Daruwala’s father tests positive for coronavirus

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday’ movie co-star Freddy Daruwala has revealed that his 67-year-old father has tested positive for Coronavirus and has been home quarantined in Mumbai.

Freddy told a daily: “My father had flu symptoms like mild fever and body pain. He could not taste the food. A few days after observation, our doctor suggested that we get my father tested for coronavirus. The test report came positive on May 5.”

Freddy also revealed that his father has been put under home quarantine. Freddy said, “Since he is asymptomatic, the doctor and BMC suggested that we home quarantine him at our Jogeshwari bungalow. This way he’ll be comfortable and the hospital bed will be allotted to someone with more serious symptoms or someone who needs ventilation.”

The actor added that his father is in a better condition now. “He is in a separate room and has access to a separate washroom and bathroom. Family members are maintaining safe distance with him.”

The 36-year-old actor has starred in various films like Holiday (2014), Force 2 (2016), Commando 2 (2017), Race 3, Touch Chesi Chudu (Telugu) and Gujarati films like Rachna No Dabbo and Suryansh. He also has been part of 2019 Zee 5 telecasted web-series ‘Poison’.
