Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri has announced that domestic flights in India will resume from May 25 in a calibrated manner. Puri also informed that all airports and airlines are being informed about the same. Puri communicated the decision through a tweet.
The tweet read: “Domestic civil aviation operations will recommence in a calibrated manner from Monday 25th May 2020. All airports & air carriers are being informed to be ready for operations from 25th May.”
Puri also informed that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for passenger movement are also being separately issued by the ministry to all stakeholders.
Flight operation were suspended in late-March in India due to lockdown, which was imposed to slow the spread of coronavirus.
