Indian men’s compound team wins gold at Archery World Cup in China

The Indian archery men’s compound team comprising Abhishek Verma, Chinna Raju Srither and Amanjeet Singh clinched the gold medal today at the Archery World Cup – Stage 1 in Shanghai, China. The men’s team won the gold medal by defeating Colombian team, comprising Camilo Cardona, Daniel Munoz and Jose Carlos Ospina, by 226-221. India before beating Colombia, defeated USA in the semifinals and Iran in the quarterfinals.

Indian women’s compound team, comprising Snehal Mandhare, Divya Dhayal and Vennam, however could not finish on the podium as they got defeated by Denmark in the quarterfinals.
