Two-month-old boy found abandoned in Khurana Travels bus in Nagpur

In a bizarre incident, a two-month-old boy was found abandoned in a Khurana Travels bus on Friday morning in Nagpur.

As per the police, the bus was coming from Nashik to Nagpur. The bus driver, Yakub Ismail Sheikh (51), a resident of Nashik, saw a 27-year-old woman named Madhu travelling with two boys (around 7-year-old) and a two-month-old boy on seat no. 23.

When the bus reached Nagpur and all the passengers left, the bus conductor, while cleaning the bus, heard the sound of a baby crying. When the conductor searched the bus thoroughly, he found the two-month-old boy abandoned on seat no. 23.

Jaripatka Police, on the basis of the complaint by Sheikh, have registered a case against the woman and have booked her under section 317 of the IPC. When Nation Next spoke to a police official from Jaripatka Police Station, he informed that the police is still investigating whether the woman was the infant’s mother or not. The cops are also searching for the woman.
