As per the data by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for the month of February 2018, Relaince Jio 4G has topped the charts for the 4G download speed. The report generated through TRAI’s MySpeed app states that the download speed of Jio was higher than its competitors – Airtel, Vodafone and Idea who stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively in the speed test.
Jio’s performance in February was slightly higher than its performance in January but significantly lower than its performance in December 2017. Airtel, Vodafone and Idea recorded lower download speeds in February as compared to January. Reliance Jio 4G, in February, had a download speed of 21.3 Mbps while Airtel, Vodafone and Idea had a speed of 8.8 Mbps, 7.2 Mbps and 6.8 Mbps respectively.
The statistics however changed completely when it came to 4G upload speed. Idea topped the list with an upload speed of 6.9 Mbps, while Vodafone, Jio and Airtel’s 4G upload speed stood at 5.5 Mbps, 4.5 Mbps and 3.9 Mbps respectively.
