JP Nadda takes over reins from Amit Shah; becomes BJP chief

JP Nadda also known as Jagat Prakash Nadda was elected unopposed as the National President of the BJP on Monday. After former national president of the BJP Amit Shah got elevated as the Home Minister of the country, Nadda was appointed as the working president of the party.

Ex-chiefs and parliamentary board members Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari had proposed Nadda’s name. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to felicitate the newly appointed Nadda at the BJP party office today.
