In what can be called as a sad irony of sorts, Kamlesh Pandey, an actor who often played a cop on one of the most popular crime shows on TV – Crime Patrol – committed suicide by shooting himself at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on Monday, December 12, 2016.

As per the reports, on the night of the incident Kamlesh was heavily drunk and created a ruckus at his in-laws’ house situated at Sanjivani Nagar. Kamlesh then took out his revolver, shot in the air first and then himself in his chest. On hearing the sound of bullets being fired, terrified family members immediately called up for an ambulance. Sadly, by the time the ambulance arrived, Kamlesh was already dead.

Though the reason behind Kamlesh’s suicide is still not clear, it’s being said that a few days ago, Anjani Chaturvedi (Kamlesh’s sister-in-law) got her daughter married and did not invite Kamlesh for the wedding because of which he was really upset. When Kamlesh shot himself, Anjani too was present in the house.

Kamlesh is survived by his wife and two daughters.
