Arvind Kejriwal’s office in the past three years of his tenure as the Delhi CM spent over Rs 1 crore (Rs 1,03,04,162) on tea and snacks as per an Right To Information (RTI) query sought by Haldwani-based activist Hemant Singh Gauniya.
Gauniya, as per a report in The Times of India said, “This is an expense, which should be controlled and the money should be spent on people who are not in a condition to afford a single meal in a day. I hope the government will cut such expenses for the greater good.”
Similarly, Gauniya after filing an RTI in February also found out that Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat had spent over Rs 68 lakhs on tea and snacks for his guests in tenure of just 10 months.
Shockingly, in 2016, Uttar Pradesh had also spent almost Rs 9 crore on tea and snacks in four years since Samajwadi Party came to power.
