Actress Kangana Ranaut has been summoned by Mumbai’s Khar Police over non-payment of real estate brokerage. The actress was summoned following a complaint at Khar Police Station by Prakash G Rohira, a real estate agent, against Kangana, her sister Rangoli and her staff in July.

Rohira has alleged that Kangana hasn’t paid him the complete consideration towards the brokerage, which he should have been paid after he helped the actress buy a bungalow in Pali hill in 2017.

Kangana, on the other hand, has claimed that she, through her finance team, has paid 1% brokerage, which is above Rs 20 lakh but the broker is now demanding 2% brokerage.

Speaking to DNA, Kangana said, “My finance team was taking care of the deal, the complainant was paid 1 per cent brokerage close to Rs 22 lakh which as per Industry standards; now he is asking for 2 per cent brokerage. At no point two per cent brokerage was decided on. The money transferred is through the bank and all documents are available.”

The bungalow, which is spread across 3,075 sq.ft was bought by Kangana in September 2017 for a price of Rs 20.07 crore.
