Known to provide their services against all odds, one of the city’s lifelines, Mumbai’s Dabbawalas, have suspended their services till March 31st in the wake of Coronavirus. Dabbawala Association’s spokesperson Subhash Talekar said the dabba services would be unavailable from March 20th till March 31st as a precautionary measure to combat the virus. However, the services will be operational from April 1.

Even during heavy rains when the city gets flooded and comes to a grinding halt, they deliver tiffins in waist-deep waters to homes and offices.
