The infamous spat between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover has left most of us in a shock. While Sunil Grover is in no mood to forgive Sharma for his drunken stupor, rival comedian Krushna Abhishek feels that the matter is being blown out proportion. As per an article in DNA, he was quoted by saying, “I won’t say Kapil has become too big or success has gone to his head. It’s just that even the small things he does are being blown out of proportion. I have worked with Kapil for five years in Comedy Circus and I know him very well, his good and bad points and he knows mine. Sunil and Kapil are good friends and friends fight.” Despite his open rivalry with Kapil, Krushna Abhishek appreciated the latter for managing and keeping his team intact for four years.
The duo (Krushna and Kapil) has earlier worked together in Comedy Circus and later both parted ways to carry on their own shows – Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live. As per reports, earlier this February, Krushna expressed his desire to work with Kapil once again and said, “People would be waiting to see both of us on stage. I think that would be like Shah Rukh and Salman doing a film together. That would be a lot of fun. That time will definitely come.”
Now, The Kapil Sharma Show seems to have been divided between Kiku Sharda (Bumper) on one side and Chandan Prabhakar (Chaiwala), Ali Asgar (Pushpa Nani) and Sunil Grover (Gutthi) on the other side. With more skeletons tumbling out of the closet in the Kapil Vs Sunil fight each day, we wonder if it marks the end of the ace comedian’s long standing relationship with his colleagues.
