Barely after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav underwent fistula surgery, he was admitted to Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai due to ‘failing health’ late on Monday night (August 20, 2018).

The veteran leader’s daughter Tejashwi Yadav took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Visited my ailing father admitted in Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai due to various diseases. Perturbed to see his falling health & increased infection. Praying that he may recover soon under the around-the-clock monitoring & continuous medical care of specialist doctors.”

Yadav was prisoned at Bisra Munda Central Jail since December 2017 after he was convicted and sentenced for a three-and-half-year jail term in fodder scam case.
