Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray to take Floor Test at 2 pm today

    Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will face a floor test in the assembly today at 2 pm, for which NCP MLA Dilip Walse Patil will be the pro-tem Speaker.

    Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had asked Thackeray to prove his majority in the House by next Tuesday. Thackeray heads an alliance of the Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress called Maha Vikas Aghadi.

    Out of 288, the three parties combined have 154 MLAs, which is nine more than the majority mark. They also have the support of some independent MLAs, which makes the tally 165.
