A hoarding stating that Maharashtra needs Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister of the state has been put up outside Matoshree (Thackeray residence) in Mumbai. The hoarding reads, “Shiv Sena members want that a person from the party should be the CM. Maharashtra needs Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as the CM of the state.”

This hoarding promoting Uddhav as the Maharashtra CM has been put up 15 days after a similar hoarding was put up for Uddhav’s son Aaditya after he became an MLA as he won from Worli constituency. Even Aaditya was being touted as the next CM of Maharashtra. Aaditya, who’s the first person from his family to contest and win an election, was being looked as the possible candidate for Deputy CM even ahead of the assembly elections.

While formation of the government in Maharashtra continues to be a tough task, Devendra Fadnavis has been appointed as the caretaker CM by the governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. The governor has even extended an invitation to Fadnavis to indicate ‘willingness and ability’ to form the government.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that his party would declare its next strategy once no one else is able to form government in Maharashtra.
