Major fire breaks out at Nagpur Central Jail

A major fire broke out at Nagpur Central Jail today in the afternoon some time before 3 pm. It is being said that the fire broke out at an area in the jail, wherein wooden artifacts and clothes made by the inmates of the jail are stored. As the compound wall of the jail is pretty high, fire brigade is experiencing a tough time dousing the fire.

Speaking to Nation Next, VS Khandagde, a personnel from the fire brigade said, “We got a call about the fire at our control room in the afternoon and we rushed to the spot at 3 pm. There are more than ten tenders, which have been deployed to douse the fire. A lot of material inside the complex where the fire occurred has already been destroyed. We are trying to douse the fire completely as soon as possible.”
