Man found dead in a room at MLA hostel in Nagpur

    Ahead of the monsoon session of the Maharashtra Legislature Assembly in Nagpur, a middle-aged man was found dead in a room on Tuesday morning at the MLA Hostel in Civil Lines . The man has been identified as Vinod Agrawal, a resident of Akot. As per preliminary investigations by the police, the cause of Agrawal’s death is being ascertained as a heart attack. The body, however, has been sent for post mortem and further investigations are in process.

    Speaking to Nation Next, PI Hemant Kharbe, Sitabuldi Police, said, “Agrawal had arrived in Nagpur on Monday with Sandeep Varkade, who’s an assistant to Ramesh Latke, Shiv Sena MLA from Andheri East, Mumbai. Agrawal slept in room number 46. When he didn’t open the door, we were informed.”

    Vinod Agrawal’s Facebook profile describes him as a PA to MLA Jyoti Kalani from Ulhasnagar in Mumbai. The same, however, could not be confirmed.
