Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced that all citizens would be covered under state government’s free health insurance scheme.

As of 10 am on May 28, Maharashtra recorded 56,948 COVID-19 cases since the outbreak of coronavirus in India. 2,190 of these cases were recorded in the last 24 hours and Maharashtra’s mortality rate for coronavirus stands at 3.33 %. 1,897 COVID-19 patients have died so far.
