A troop of monkeys attacked a lab technician on Friday in Meerut and ran away after snatching samples of suspected COVID-19 patients from the technician.

In a bizarre incident, a troop of monkeys attacked a lab technician on Friday in Meerut and ran away after snatching samples of suspected COVID-19 patients from the technician. The incident came to light after a video, in which one of the monkeys can be seen sitting on a tree and chewing on sample collection kits, went viral on social media platforms.

The incident is said to have taken place on the premises of the Meerut Medical College. As the monkeys ran away with the samples before being tested, fresh samples have been collected from the patients.

It is being reported that the residents in Meerut are now apprehensive about the spread of COVID-19 as the monkeys ran away in residential areas.
